The Star - A Teen's Ode To Inner Beauty
17 year old Paul Gomille wrote a letter about women not having to dress in revealing clothing to be beautiful. He asked his principal if he could read it in front of a group of students at his high school. She asked him to remove some lines because she felt they were paternalistic. Paul chose not to omit the lines when he read the letter and was suspended for two days.
The Star picked up the story and Heather Mallick wrote a column on it which I thought was pretty harsh. This is my response to her column. Scroll down to the third letter on the page.
